Dental Technology

We Have the Latest Dental Technology

At Kingston Dental Associates in Kingston, NY, we understand the importance of staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental technology. We utilize state-of-the-art technology to provide our patients with the best possible care. Our advanced technology allows us to diagnose and treat dental issues with greater accuracy and efficiency. This not only means that our patients can receive treatment quickly but also that they can have a more comfortable and stress-free experience.

Dental CBCT Scanning Technology

Kingston Dental Associates is proud to offer CBCT scan technology. This technology is a 3D image of your teeth, soft tissues, nerve pathways, bone, and airway. They require no special preparation from the patient and offer same-day results in most cases. Cone beam CT is not the same as a conventional CT. Dental Cone beam CT was developed to produce similar types of images with lower radiation exposure.

CBCT’s are used for:

  • Surgical planning of impacted teeth
  • Implant placement
  • TMJ diagnosis
  • Undiagnosed pain and pathology
  • Evaluation of the jaw, sinuses, nerve canals, and nasal cavity
  • Detecting, measuring, and treating jaw tumors

Digital Impressions – No More Messy “Goop”

At Kingston Dental Associates, we use digital impressions to create your restorations and dental appliances. Digital impressions eliminate the need for messy and uncomfortable impression materials and allow our dentists to produce restorations and appliances that are more closely tailored to your mouth and oral health needs, and that will fit more comfortably.

Digital impressions are a modern, efficient, and comfortable way to take precise impressions of your mouth. If you have ever had to have a traditional impression or mold taken in the past, you know that they can be unpleasant and uncomfortable. We are pleased to utilize digital impressions to eliminate the need for messy, goopy impressions. While this technology can make the experience more comfortable for any patient, it is perfect for patients who gag easily. The digital impression system is less invasive than traditional impressions and molds, providing our team with highly accurate impressions.

iTero Digital Scanning

When you need a restorative treatment, our dentists will use a state-of-the-art iTero scanner to capture images of your mouth. iTero is a type of intraoral imaging technology that works in conjunction with digital dental labs to design and create high-quality restorations for your smile.

How Does It Work?

The iTero works by emitting a radiation-free laser from the machine's wand. The wand that is quickly and painlessly scanned over your whole mouth takes pictures to make a perfectly accurate digital 3D impression on a screen next to you.

Our team is committed to providing the highest level of care possible, and our investment in the latest dental technology is just one way we fulfill that commitment. Call (845) 336-8478.
